Hello All! It’s been a while.

I appreciate all the prayers, and I thought I would give one final update.

First off, the summer we all (you included) helped build homes for 10 families and countless people encountered the gospel. That is a beautiful thing.

The next steps for me involve, at this chapter, being close to family and my home church back in Wisconsin! I am going to continue serving here, but in a bit of a different way. That is, through a new job (yay!) and through getting involved more in my church/community (also yay!)

One thing I learned through my internship is we are all missionary’s in all of our fields. We can all be used to share the gospel and serve our communities, no matter what career we are in.

I go to Haven Church in Eau Claire, feel free to stop by anytime and say hi 🙂 I see a fair amount of you every Sunday 😉

Lastly here’s my cell if you every want someone to talk to: 715-828-8716. Feel free to reach out 🙂

God bless you all, and continue to shine the light of Jesus in our communities!

    Love, Bryce

  • Serving the Kingdom of God

This summer, we have been able to bless 10 families with new homes, and, more importantly, we were able to share/live the Gospel with 100’s of people. Thank you. We could not have done this without your help. These families lives were changed because of God’s gracious and abounding love, and because of your willingness to open your hearts to them.

Below are the pictures of the teams that helped build, and families that were blessed with a new home.

Thank you all for allowing us the opportunity to minister to these families in this tangible, meaningful way. There are so many intangible fruits as well that I can’t wait to connect with you all on.

Your impact has been felt and made in these families hearts. Thank you for serving, and continuing to serve the Kingdom of God.

    So, what’s next?

The only thing I know for sure is God has put on my heart is to go home and have conversations with you all about my experience. I fly back August 3rd, so a prayer or two for discernment on where the Lord is leading me next would be so greatly appreciated.

Thank you all again. I can’t wait to share the story of this mission filled summer.

    Much love,

    -Bryce

There is a love greater than what you could ever do,
deeper than what you could ever feel,
and more infinite that what you could ever think.
And that is God’s love for you.

  • 6 homes. 6 weeks.

So I am halfway through my internship. I have helped lead 6 home builds, and there are 4 more to go.

God has been working here, in our hearts and in our minds. The families we have built for have left incredibly blessed, in more ways that just receiving a home. We have all felt the spirit work, and being the hands and feet of Jesus has been wonderful.

One of the coolest parts of the process is when the family we are building for gets involved in building the home themselves. Or even when their children come up and share the biggest smile. It reminds us why we do what we do; to bless families.

“As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace” ( 1 Peter 4:10 )

I pray we all continue to serve each other through God’s grace, as we open our hearts to Him.

Hope everyone at home is doing well 🙂 I can’t wait to connect with you all in person when I get back!

  • It’s all about God.

For most of my life I have been focused on myself. What I want, what I feel, etc.

I have heard three testimonies in the last 2 days, and one thing has become more and more clear, it’s not about me.

The impact we are able to have on the families we serve and sharing the love of God changes hearts and lives. There is so much joy in the photos attached, and all of us have a blast serving the Kingdom.

Service can look so many different ways, and I am still learning more about what service looks like, but one thing I encourage you to do is open your hearts to love one another.

I want you to know you already have and will change lives. Your support allows us to share the love of Jesus with families, and every one of you plays a critical role in Kingdom building.

I can truly say God has changed my life. I pray he continues to change the lives we touch through Him, opening all our hearts to service, putting the focus on loving one another and Him.

    With love,

    Bryce Hurd

The first home we built for this internship. This family was Christian and we were able to bless them with a solid foundation to raise their daughter and two sons. Trip profile here.
The second home we built. This family was not Christian, and we prayed through the night that God may enter their heart. The dedication of the home was very eye opening/tearful and the gift of sharing the love of Jesus was an incredible blessing to them. Please be praying for this family Parajediz (Pronounced Pair-a-hair-ez) is the husband and Nancy is the wife. Trip profile page with more info here.
  • Fundraising 100% Complete!

The outpouring of support I’ve felt from everyone has been incredible. It has been wonderful to connect with old friends, new people, and fellow believers. And because of all you awesome people, my $4,000 fundraising goal is now complete! (with 2 days to spare!).

Thank you everyone for your prayerful, personal, and financial support. I can’t wait to keep you updated on how your support impacts the families we serve in Mexico.

Starting Monday, I will start the training process through my first build with 3 other interns (Ian, Cade, and Gabe) and the Casas staff.

Please be praying for the health and safety of Yovani and Araceli (our first family we will be building for) and their 3 children. I am attaching a link to their profile page on the Casas Por Cristo website here.

I can’t wait to get started on the build and learning process, and sharing it with you all.

Many more blog posts and new pictures to come!

    Thank you all!
